G2E Is Back, With Restrictions, October 5-7 in Las Vegas

Global Gaming Expo (G2E) will return to Las Vegas in October after a year’s hiatus due to Covid-19.

In North America, G2E is the commercial and tribal gaming industry’s leading event, enabling professionals to meet, discover cutting-edge technologies and experience innovative content. It will be held virtually and in person October 4-7 at the Venetian Resort and Sands Expo & Convention Center.

In keeping with CDC guidelines and an emergency directive issued July 30 by Nevada Governor Steve Sisolak, all attendees will be required to wear face coverings at G2E. According to the event website, organizers “are monitoring this closely and will continue to adjust our face covering requirements to align with state, local, and venue requirements at the time of the event.”

“These updates reinforce how quickly the state of the pandemic changes,” said G2E Vice President, Global Events Meredith Pallante, and Event Director Korbi Carrison, in a joint statement. “We know that mandates will almost certainly change again by the time we convene in October.”

The G2E event staff is currently evaluating, with input from the Association of Equipment Manufacturers, protocols that may be enforced at the conference. G2E visitors, exhibitors, media, staff and other participants may be required to show proof of vaccinations or a negative Covid-19 test, to be admitted to the event.

G2E 2021 will highlight the latest in core gaming, sports betting, iGaming, and digital payments from a diverse range of established and emerging exhibitors. To support the industry’s recovery, G2E is offering reduced pricing on in-person and virtual registration for 2021 to help more attendees be part of the G2E experience.

“G2E is a must-attend event for industry leaders looking to experience and learn the latest trends in gaming,” said Carrison. “As the launching pad of gaming innovations and technologies, G2E attracts gaming industry professionals who have buying power and unites them with manufacturers and providers of the unique, new products, services, and concepts that can’t be found anywhere else.”

Off the show floor, G2E’s education offering ensures that attendees leave with actionable insights relevant to today’s trends and realities. The 2021 program is centered around seven topics reflecting gaming’s growth:

  • Research, Regulations, and Responsibility
  • Finance & Investment
  • The Customer Experience
  • Tribal Government & Gaming
  • The Future of Gaming
  • Global Outlook
  • The Business of Sports Betting

G2E will donate $25 of every All Access Pass purchased to the International Center for Responsible Gaming, G2E’s charitable partner and the premiere organization funding independent research that helps increase understanding of gambling disorder and youth gambling, and find effective methods of treatment for the disorder.
