National Hockey League Commissioner Gary Bettman will join gaming industry luminaries in Global Gaming Expo’s Sports Betting Symposium October 15 in Las Vegas.

The discussion, entitled “Executive Viewpoints: NHL Commissioner Bettman and Leading Gaming Executives Discuss New Business.” will include the expansion of sports betting and how this is impacting the professional sports industry.

Joining Bettman will be Joe Asher, CEO of William Hill US; Greg Carlin, co-founder and CEO of Rush Street Gaming; and Matt King, CEO of FanDuel. Bettman will related how his own perspective on sports betting has evolved. Last March he told an audience at American Gaming Association’s Sports Betting Executive Summit how his opposition changed when Las Vegas won an NHL expansion franchise. At the time he declared, “Once the Supreme Court ruled, we had to get with the program. You either evolve or you become extinct. We decided to take a forward-looking practical approach.”
