Galaxy Gaming, Inc., the world’s second-largest distributor of proprietary casino table games and side-bet products, announced that the Arizona Department of Gaming has concluded its background investigation of the company and its officers, and has found them suitable to conduct business in Arizona.
The suitability finding resulted in Galaxy Gaming receiving a state certification license, which authorizes it to conduct business with any gaming operation in the state. The approval follows a rejection last year by California regulators. Company officials pointed out that the Arizona regulators viewed the same information as those in California.
“Clearly, the setback experienced last year is isolated, and will likely be corrected as more facts surface,” Galaxy attorney John Maloney said in a statement. “Galaxy Gaming and its principals are of the highest integrity and have been recognized by more than 100 jurisdictions as suitable to conduct business at all levels of the gaming industry.
“The Arizona Department of Gaming possesses an impeccable reputation among all experienced gaming regulators and attorneys for their thoroughness and professionalism in performing background investigations,” continued Maloney. “Their comprehensive investigation concluded that Galaxy Gaming and its principals are suitable participants in Arizona’s burgeoning gaming industry.”
Robert B. Saucier, Galaxy’s CEO, added, “I concur with our counsel and acknowledge the professionalism and courtesy afforded by the Arizona Department of Gaming staff. I know they had a number of complex issues to examine and they approached each one methodically and completely. I want to thank them for the fair and thorough approach they took throughout this process. They did an outstanding job, and we look forward to a long relationship in the Grand Canyon state.”
Dean Barnett, the Company’s Sales Manager has been active in securing future business with Native American casinos in Arizona. “This certification clears the way for us to expand and operate in all markets throughout Arizona,” said Barnett. “Having also received regulatory approval for our highly successful proprietary Bonus Jackpot System (BJS), I am delighted to announce that we are now live in a number of casinos with our innovative table games, some of which are enhanced by our BJS system. I am quite confident these and other products will find a special connection and a lasting home there.”
“On the heels of our recent expansion along the Eastern seaboard and Gulf Coast regions, as well as launching into the most select casino properties in South Africa, expansion into Arizona is another bottom-line beneficial result for the Company,” said Galaxy CFO Gary A. Vecchiarelli. “We have once again demonstrated our ability to expand our global footprint, one jurisdiction at a time. That’s why 2014 is expected to be our best year yet.”
