Galicia Approves Vigo Casino

The government of Galicia in Spain has approved a casino in the port city of Vigo. The casino, to be based in a local shopping center, will “provide a boost for economic activity in the city,” according to a statement.

The autonomous government of Galicia, Spain has approved the development of a new casino in the port city of Vigo. The casino, to be located in the A Laxe Shopping Center, is expected to increase “direct and indirect economic activity in the city” and also add new jobs, according to a statement from the government.

The gaming hall will target customers from the southern part of the province as well as customers from the north of Portugal and crews working on cruise ships that dock nearby, according to a report issued by G3Newswire.com. The casino, a project of the Luckia Group and Cirsa, project the new casino will bring in €30 million (US$35.3 million) per year in revenue.
