Blaine Graboyes, the CEO of skill-based game manufacturer GameCo, was recommended for a one-year license as manager and key executive. The Nevada Gaming Commission is likely to approve the license February 18.

Graboyes received a license with a two-year restriction in February 29, after regulators questioned his treatment of tax liabilities and his failure to report lawsuits and liens on his license application. According to a report in the Las Vegas Review-Journal, board members had been satisfied that Graboyes had resolved those issues, but imposed the one-year restriction because of a social media post that accused him of taking intellectual property from Beyond Gaming, a company he formerly worked for as a consultant.

Justin Yamek, vice president of Beyond Gaming, made a statement to the gaming board at Graboyes’ licensing hearing, in which he accused Graboyes of taking the company’s software assets, resulting in the company filing for bankruptcy. Graboyes has denied the allegations.
