Gaming Law Review and Economics Names Schneider

Gaming Law Review and Economics has named Sue Schneider as editor-in-chief, effective in March. An expert on internet gambling, she owned a gaming portal, launched River city Group i-gaming event producers and started numerous internet gaming publications. She consults on industry projects and is a frequent speaker at international gaming conferences.

Sue Schneider has been named editor-in-chief of Gaming Law Review and Economics, effective March 2017. She will replace co-editors Dr. Joe Kelly and Professor I. Nelson Rose, who will remain as members of the editorial board as founding editor and editor emeritus, respectively.

One of the pioneers in the growth of internet gaming, Schneider owned a gaming consumer portal from 1995–99. Then she launched River City Group, producers of the largest international iGaming events plus iGamingNews.com, the Internet Gambling Report and other trade publications.

Schneider remained as chief executive officer/Americas when UK event producer Clarion Events purchased River City Group, from July 2006 until June 2009. She still serves as principal of egamingbrokerage.com and consults on other independent projects in the industry.

From 1996 to 2004, Schneider was a founder and chairman of the Interactive Gaming Council, a 120-member trade association. Until 2016, she was a partner with iGaming North America, now a division of Clarion Events Gaming. She also was a consultant for iGaming, and remains a consultant to the Malta iGaming Seminar and G2E.

In addition, Schneider is a frequent speaker at international gaming conferences and has testified before the U.S. Senate, the U.S. House of Representatives and the National Gambling Impact Study Commission.
