Online gaming content developer Gaming Realms PLC announced that it has signed a licensing agreement with NetEnt to produce multiple games based on Slingo, the casino game that combines slots and bingo for which NetEnt owns the rights.

Gaming Realms, a developer and licensor of mobile-focused gaming content, said the first game to be launched under the agreement will be Slingo Starburst, a contemporary gaming experience that combines both the Slingo genre and the iconic features of the Starburst slot game.

Slingo Starburst will be available worldwide and will be distributed to the online real-money gaming market in early 2021.

“We’re thrilled to have secured the licensing rights to NetEnt brands,” said Mark Segal, chief financial officer of Gaming Realms. “Their slot games have dominated the gaming industry for years. The combination of Slingo and Starburst will create a new game of significant global stature bringing together the best features of both, making this collaboration very exciting for fans.”

Andy Whitworth, chief commercial officer for NetEnt, commented, “To widen the reach of our portfolio and building brand awareness in new markets is a vital part of our strategy. Gaming Realms has an extraordinary reach among Slingo fans, especially in the U.S. We are certain that great games will come out from combining Gaming Realms’ expertise, the Slingo grid mechanic and our renowned IP.”
