GAN Names McGill Board Chairman

BTB technology provider GAN Limited recently announced David Goldberg has replaced Seamus McGill as chairman of the board. McGill will continue as interim chief executive officer, a position he has held since September 2023, replacing Dermot Smurfit. Michael Smurfit, Derek Smurfit’s brother, also has stepped down from the board of directors.

GAN also announced David D. Ross has been appointed to the board of directors. A 35-year veteran of the gaming and hospitality industries, Ross offers far-reaching experience in capital markets and mergers and acquisitions. He currently is chief executive officer at Gaming Asset Management Enterprises and will serve as the chairman of GAN’s audit committee.

Goldberg said, “David brings nearly four decades of experience as both an executive and director of gaming and hospitality companies along with an extensive business acumen in operations, capital markets, M&A and licensure in approximately 35 jurisdictions across North America.”

In November 2023 GAN entered into a definitive agreement and plan of merger with Sega Sammy Creation, a subsidiary of Sega Sammy Holdings.
