Genting Casinos to Relaunch Stratford Venue in U.K.

Genting Casinos UK has announced a four-day relaunch event this week for its Genting Casino Stratford in London.

Running from Thursday to Sun, the event will feature DJs, live music and various gaming promotions. It will also showcase new electronic gaming equipment and refreshed food and drinks areas.

A VIP event on Thursday will kick off proceedings, followed by a live show by singer-songwriter Beverley Stone on Friday. Guests can enjoy DJs Dean McCollough, Rickie & Melvin and Kimberly Watt the following day, with the event rounded off on Sunday by singer and multi-instrumentalist duo, Sirene.

Genting Casinos UK purchased the property from Aspers last April. In total, it is planning to spend a seven-figure sum on improvements.

Genting Stratford Going From Strength to Strength

Located in the Westfield Centre, the venue has the U.K.’s biggest casino floor. It features 150 slot machines and 100 electronic gaming terminals.

As part of the improvements, all IGT products have been updated with new curve cabinets, progressives and LED signage. Customers can now win maximum payouts of up to £20,000.

Plans are also in place to grow the casino’s poker offering. Genting Casino Stratford already houses over 35 poker tables, two Heads Up Hold’em Progressive Poker tables and two Prime 3 Card Progressive Poker tables.

“We’re delighted to welcome regular guests and new visitors to the new-look Genting Casino Stratford for a fantastic series of launch events and a chance to experience our first-class hospitality,” said Paul Willcock, president and chief operating officer of Genting Casinos UK.

“We pride ourselves on offering customers the best in gaming and entertainment across our portfolio of 32 casinos. We are confident that Stratford will grow from strength to strength as it becomes part of the Genting family.”
