Four Genting Malaysia resorts reopened last week: Resorts World Genting (l.) and Resorts World Awana on February 16, followed by Resorts World Kijal and Langkawi on February 19.

Genting Malaysia Casinos Reopen

A quartet of Genting Malaysia resorts reopened last week. Resorts World Genting (RWG) and Resorts World Awana resumed business at 6 p.m. February 16. Resorts World Kijal and Resorts World Langkawi reopened on February 19. All will operate with enhanced health and safety protocols in place, the company announced.

“Some of our hotels, facilities, attractions and other offerings will be subjected to revised operating hours, limited availability or temporary closure, Genting Malaysia stated. “We will continue to fully adhere to the strict standard operating procedures issued by the government throughout the resort and we seek our guests’ cooperation to do the same. The safety and health of all our guests and employees remain our utmost priority.”

Resorts World Birmingham and other land-based casinos in the U.K., which shut down December 30 due to ongoing Covid-19 concerns, will remain closed until further notice.
