A plan by Malaysian gaming giant Genting to bring a casino to Central London has “horrified” the mostly residential community, according to a report in the Evening Standard.
The casino, now under consideration by the Kensington and Chelsea council, would be located on the lower levels of the Holiday Inn on Cromwell Road, South Kensington, which is bordered on three sides by homes.
A spokesman for the Thurloe Residents’ Association said there was “bound to be a detrimental impact” on people who live near. “There is often unruly behavior associated with such establishments as well as attracting too many people and cars.”
