Before the pandemic, Station Casinos sunk almost $500 million into renovating the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas. Following the pandemic, the Palms did not reopen immediately and Station sold the property to the San Manuel tribe of California. The tribe quickly hired Las Vegas veteran Cynthia Kiser Murphey to be general manager and used its California database at the Yaamava casino to attract players to Las Vegas. Kiser Murphey spoke with GGB Publisher Roger Gros at a suite in the Palms in January.
