GGB PODCAST: David Rebuck, Director, New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement

This week, the GGB Podcast features a discussion with David Rebuck, the director of the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement, about how the DGE regulated gaming during the pandemic and how it has helped to legitimatize sports betting regulation.

Although our annual visit with Dave Rebuck, the director of New Jersey’s Division of Gaming Enforcement was interrupted last year by the pandemic, we caught up with him in July to talk about how the DGE has operated since the legalization of sports betting in 2018 and how it navigated the pandemic. Rebuck talks about how the agency drew up the sports betting regulations, becoming the first state outside of Nevada to offer sports betting to its residents. He also explains what the DGE’s responsibilities were during the lockdown and how casinos responded. He spoke with GGB Publisher Roger Gros via Zoom.
