The Hippodrome in London has a long history as an entertainment venue, featuring circuses, a 100,000-gallon pool and superstar entertainment. When Simon Thomas and his family took it over, they spent four years transforming it into what is today, London’s largest and Europe’s most popular casino. Thomas explains how the renovation occurred and what has been added in the last few years. He talks about how the U.K. gaming laws have changed and now the Hippodrome can offer more slots and tables to the clientele. He spoke with GGB Publisher Roger Gros at a suite in the Bellagio in Las Vegas in November when he was in town for the inaugural Formula One race on the Strip.
