Glebocki Tapped to Lead NJ Casino Association

Until now, leadership of the Casino Association of New Jersey (CANJ) has been a male fraternity, the most recent being Steve Callender, who retired at the end of March. But that ceiling fractured on April 14 with ascent of Terry Glebocki, CEO of Ocean Casino Resort, as president.

Glebocki’s appointment speaks to the increasing number of women in top posts throughout the resort. Of the nine casino properties, women run three, according to the Press of Atlantic City.

“I am proud of my fellow female executives who are paving the way for other talented women to join the leadership ranks, further transforming the gaming industry into a more diverse and dynamic workplace,” Glebocki said in a statement. “I am looking forward to being at the helm during this challenging yet exciting time for our industry.”

Glebocki praised Callender for his role in leading the industry during the worst of the Covid-19 pandemic. “We are grateful for the strength and leadership he has shown. I am thrilled to help Atlantic City and the region recover from this devastating pandemic and continue the ongoing revitalization of this world-class destination resort.”

Glebocki has a resume of 30 years of financial management experience, with top positions at Tropicana as well as Ocean.
