GLI Streamlines Lottery Testing

Gaming Laboratories International has refined its processes to streamline its testing services for the international government lottery industry.

Leading gaming testing company Gaming Laboratories International announced that it has streamlined its testing processes related to government lotteries to be faster, more efficient and more cost-effective.

The initial push began in 2011 when GLI released its GLI-23: Video Lottery Terminals standard. Part of the GLI Standards Series, GLI-23 has helped to reduce supplier R&D time and costs. Since then, GLI’s tools, such as Point.Click.Submit.SM, Point.Click.Transfer.SM and the award-winning and patented GLI Link, have all further helped to reduce supplier costs and speed time to market.

Then in 2012 GLI launched its Professional Services division, with a team of veteran IT and lottery experts who have been working with lottery operators, regulators, and suppliers all over the world.

“We are committed to helping suppliers, regulators and operators increase efficiencies, improve processes, reduce costs and enhance their bottom line,” said Salim Adatia, CEO of GLI Canada. “There is absolutely no team in the world with the depth of experience, knowledge and ability as the team we have carefully assembled at GLI Professional Services.”

The Professional Services division has four main areas of services, each specifically designed to make doing business in the lottery industry faster and more effective. Those categories are: Project Management; Governance, Risk and Compliance, including World Lottery Association Security Control Standards (WLASCS) and ISO 27001 Information Security audit and certification; GLI University Training; and Technical Services.

GLI’s Professional Services division has consulted with lotteries on a wide range of topics spanning the complete spectrum of the lottery industry, from security assessments to project management, IT strategy and implementation and WLA and ISO standards.

GLI’s Professional Services division recently completed a major project management support assignment for the Atlantic Lottery Corporation as the Corporation was replacing its video lottery system. James Porter, COO & CTO of Atlantic Lottery, said, “I strongly recommend GLI’s Professional Service Team. In our engagement, GLI was contracted to provide project management services for a very significant corporate initiative.

“The project required them to work with multiple vendors in a technically complex environment. GLI’s project management skills and process improvement abilities allowed them to perform at a senior program level to coordinate multiple sub project streams.”
