Gaming Laboratories International experts traveled to Santiago, Chile recently to host customized training for Superintendencia de Casinos de Juego (SCJ), Chile’s casino regulator.
Chile is a jurisdiction widely recognized for its strong licensing process and highly professional industry. The SCJ contacted GLI to provide expert and customized training for the gaming regulatory entity.
Produced through GLI’s world-renowned education program, GLI University, the training was tailored to meet the jurisdiction’s specific needs as well as Chile standards requirements. With the training, the SCJ’s objective was to build on its inspectors’ and professionals’ knowledge to continue to guarantee regulation compliance in the region’s casinos.
GLI Director of Latin America and Caribbean Government Relations and Business Development Karen Marcela Sierra-Hughes said, “We are grateful to the Superintendencia de Casinos de Juego de Chile, especially the Superintendent Daniel Garcia and the Division of Authorizations and Inspections, for choosing the GLI University program to fulfill their professional development needs.
“GLI has been accredited as a laboratory in Chile since 2010, and our long-lasting relationship with Chile does not only include certification, but also continuous support for the jurisdiction’s needs and efforts to be at the forefront of regulatory and supervision processes,” she said. “GLI strongly believes that continued education is one of the key factors of success for a gaming jurisdiction, which is why we continue to invest in developing and growing our training program. We look forward to the next opportunity to collaborate with the Superintendencia de Casinos de Juego de Chile.”
The training was part of the SCJ’s “Strategy for Triannual Training 2016-2018,” which concentrated on building a better technical understanding of gaming devices and their components, gaming software and communication protocols.
