GLOBAL GAMING BUSINESS PODCAST: Andy Ortale, Vice President of Industry Services, American Gaming Association

This week the GGB Podcast features a discussion with Andy Ortale, the vice president of industry services for American Gaming Association, to talk about the upcoming Global Gaming Expo and the new approach taken by the partners in the show.

G2E is the gaming industry’s largest and most important trade show, hands down. Yes, there are other important shows, but no trade show can claim to be “of the industry, by the industry.” Andy Ortale joined the American Gaming Association early this year and part of his role is to spearhead G2E from the AGA side. He describes the improved relationship between the partners in the show, Reed Expositions and the AGA, and how that will result in a better show and better education experience in the conference program. He talks about how sports betting will be a centerpiece of the show and why the appearance of former NBA Commissioner David Stern is a game-changer. He spoke with GGB Publisher Roger Gros from the AGA offices in late August.
