GLOBAL GAMING BUSINESS PODCAST: Anna Sainsbury, President, GeoComply

State-by-state legalization of online gaming has placed an emphasis on geolocation, the process where the exact location of the player can be determined. Anna Sainsbury, the president of GeoComply, is one of the recognized experts in the business. Her company acquired the vast majority of the business in New Jersey where geolocation is difficult due to the concentration of state residents that reside close to the borders of the state. Sainsbury explains the process by which the state requires geolocation to occur, and proudly announces that only 10 percent of legally located players are rejected. In Nevada, the failure rate is upwards of 35 percent, where GeoComply is not operating at this time.

With the spread of online gaming across the U.S., geolocation is going to become critically important. Sainsbury spoke with GGB Publisher Roger Gros just weeks after the launch of online gaming in New Jersey last December.
