GLOBAL GAMING BUSINESS PODCAST: Blaine Graboyes, President, GameCo

This week the GGB Podcast features an in-depth discussion with Blaine Graboyes, the president of GameCo, on how his company has moved beyond the “skill games” discussion to figure out how video game gambling can work in the casino environment.

GLOBAL GAMING BUSINESS PODCAST: Blaine Graboyes, President, GameCo

GameCo was one of the early movers in the skill-games segment of the slot industry. But Blaine Graboyes, the company’s president, has always been reluctant to use that skill games description because it skews expectations of both the player and the operator. He prefers video game gambling and explains that we are now into the third generation of games that will continue to evolve and will eventually find a valuable but different audience. He explains how GameCo has been able to balance the payouts between skillful and not-so-skilled players and why the incremental revenue produced by video game gambling is nothing to sneeze at. He spoke with GGB Publisher Roger Gros at the GameCo offices in Las Vegas in April.
