Non-gaming revenues are becoming increasingly important in the casino industry. Competition with new properties and new forms of gaming make it crucial that casinos offer much more than just gaming. This is the topic of Episode II at the UNLV Gaming & Hospitality Education Series, scheduled for April 24 at 1 pm. Bob Boughner, a partner with Global Market Advisors is the recognized expert on non-gaming revenue and amenities in the casino industry, largely because of his insight when building and operating the Borgata in Atlantic City, which raised the non-gaming bar for all properties, not just those in New Jersey. Boughner will speak at Episode II and reveals a bit of what he’ll cover in his presentation that day. He spoke with GGB Publisher Roger Gros in Las Vegas last week.
