Blackjack is clearly America’s most popular table game. Players enjoy the game but it can be intimidating for new players. Make the wrong move and you earn a dirty look at the very least. Charlie Barksdale was an operations executive and came up with a way to create an electronic terminal attached to a live table game. At the same time, his patented process makes the game scalable so that dozens—even hundreds—of players can participate at the same time. He branded the game as “ShaqJack” with the legendary basketball star Shaquille O’Neil putting his substantial market weight behind the game. Now live in several casinos in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and elsewhere, ShaqJack has created a real following. Barksdale spoke to GGB Publisher Roger Gros at the Dynamic Gaming offices outside Atlantic City in June about the game and his company.
