The debut of iGaming in New Jersey has been uneven at best. The positives include the regulatory setup and the technological advances, but the negatives include the technological challenges and the low revenues. David Rebuck, the director of New Jersey’s Division of Gaming Enforcement, has been uniformly praised by members of the iGaming industry for his directness and his willingness to listen. Rebuck discusses how the technical barriers have largely been overcome, the difficulties that remain with payment processing and the possibilities of joining with other states in reciprocal agreements.
