GLOBAL GAMING BUSINESS PODCAST: Derek Mooberry, CEO, Zitro US

Derek Mooberry spent most of his career with Bally’s/Scientific Games/Light & Wonder, eventually becoming president of the gaming division of Scientific Games. With reorganization of Light & Wonder, Mooberry was named president of Zitro U.S. six months ago, a company founded by Johnny Ortiz and led by corporate CEO Sebastian Salat. Zitro is well known throughout the world because of its bingo machines and more recently because its Class III slots have given the major manufacturers a run for their money in South American jurisdictions. That gave Zitro the confidence to expand beyond their strongholds in South and Central America. Mooberry is charged with spreading the word about the Zitro games in the United States. He spoke with GGB Publisher Roger Gros at the GGB offices in Boulder City, Nevada in June.
