Last week the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement encouraged companies working with the monetization of social games to submit their plans to the division, giving the state an edge in the popular play-for-free games. Eric Meyerhofer left FutureLogic last year to lead Gamblit Gaming, a company that is taking the best of social games and transforming it into games that can be used in a casino. Gamblit has been strategizing for almost five years about how to make the games conform to the regulations, while still giving players who develop skills at the game some kind of edge. Meyerhofer explains the rationale behind Gamblit and how skilled players can still enjoy the game without breaking the casino bank. He spoke with GGB Publisher Roger Gros at G2E in Las Vegas earlier this month.
