Frank Freedman was brought to the Four Winds casinos in Michigan by his predecessor, Matt Harkness, in 2007. When Harkness left last year to pursue other opportunities, Freedman took over as chief operating officer. Owned by the Pokagon Band of Potawatomi Indians, there are three Four Winds casinos in New Buffalo, Hartford and Dowagiac. Freedman explains about the expansion of the casinos, the market strategies and the regional market. He also mentions a possible expansion into South Bend, Indiana, where the Pokagons are the only federally recognized tribe, even though it has not federal land. He spoke with GGB Publisher Roger Gros at his offices in the Four Winds flagship in New Buffalo.
