When Gavin Isaacs took over at Scientific Games last year, he was hired to bring together the recent acquisition WMS Gaming. But soon, he was doing much more when Sci Games bought Bally Technologies, which itself had just competed the merger with SHFL entertainment, once run by Isaacs. So now the combined company quickly became one of the giants in gaming manufactures, with games and services that include casinos, lottery, social gaming and real money online gambling. Isaacs also had to manage a huge debt load also taken on by Scientific Games during the acquisitions. A year later, the company is up and running and remains a major player in all segments of wagering. Isaacs spoke with GGB Publisher Roger Gros and Editor Frank Legato in August for the cover story in the October issue of GGB, “The King of All Gaming.”
