GLOBAL GAMING BUSINESS PODCAST: Joe Hasson, General Manager, Mohegan Sun Casino at Virgin Hotel Las Vegas

This week, the GGB Podcast is joined by Joe Hasson, general manager of the Mohegan Sun Casino at Virgin Hotel Las Vegas, to discuss what it means for the company to open its first casino in Las Vegas.

Virgin Hotel Las Vegas, located at the former Hard Rock Casino Hotel, will open March 25. Mohegan Gaming & Entertainment was selected to operate the casino, marking its first entry into the Las Vegas market. To lead that effort, MGE has hired Joe Hasson, a longtime Station Casinos executive who ran Green Valley Ranch and most recently the Graton casino in California. Hasson explains how this opening is different from others in that he has an experienced employee pool and a focus on gaming only, as well as the deep database he can leverage from several sources. He spoke with GGB Publisher Roger Gros viz Zoom in early March.
