GLOBAL GAMING BUSINESS PODCAST: Karie Hall, General Manager, The Cromwell, Las Vegas

This week, the GGB Podcast goes in depth with Karie Hall, the general manager of Las Vegas’ newest hotel, the Cromwell, Caesars Entertainment’s first ever “boutique” hotel.

It’s a long way from the Barbary Coast and Bill’s Gamblin’ Hall to the Cromwell even though all those brands have occupied the same building. When the Cromwell opened last week in Las Vegas, it represented a first for owner Caesars Entertainment. The Strip’s only “boutique” hotel, the Cromwell is a small gem in the midst of the giant hotels, offering the best in customer service, room amentias and a nightclub, Drai’s, that is bound to become the hottest destination on the Strip this summer. Karie Hall has spent the last few years on the east side of the Strip at the various Caesars properties there, but as general manager of the Cromwell, she will now be tasked with building a brand—despite the last-minute change from Gansevoort. Hall explains the vision behind the Cromwell and how it will be different than virtually any other hotel in the city. She spoke with GGB Publisher Roger Gros at her offices in Las Vegas for a feature story on the Cromwell and the new Linq in the April edition of GGB.
