The Bureau of Indian Affairs in the Interior Department is the most important federal agency overseeing Indian Country. As assistant secretary, Kevin Washburn has played a role in some of the most significant federal progress over the past half century. He explains what some of the major accomplishments have been under the Obama administration and outlines what he is targeting over the last year of his tenure.
