The increased interest in the possible legalization of online poker in California has spurred several tribes to launch interactive divisions. The most recent announcement comes from San Manuel Band of Mission Indians, which started San Manuel Digital to stay current with any online gaming legalization. Matt Cullen was appointed to lead the effort. Cullen was most recently the president of RocketPlay, a leading cross-platform social casino operator, where he developed and executed the company’s business strategy across the Facebook, iOS and Android platforms. He has also worked for Betfair, as well as starting and financing many online gaming startups. Cullen says the company is going to evaluate all opportunities over the next few months and keep abreast of all developments in the California political scene. He spoke with GGB Publisher Roger Gros over the phone about the new startup in April.
