GLOBAL GAMING BUSINESS PODCAST: Matt Wilson, CEO, Gaming, Scientific Games

Matt Wilson spent most of his career at Aristocrat Technologies, starting off as a salesman and later moving on to direct slot development at the Australian company. His move to Scientific Games was announced in 2019 and after sitting out a non-compete period, he began work in March 2020—just as the pandemic hit. He explains who the three divisions of the company rallied together, dedicated to the future. During the pandemic, Wilson says his workers “followed the sun,” with projects worked on in the U.S., Australia and India, and how he says that effort will ensure that Scientific Games will hit the ground running now that the pandemic is winding down. He spoke with GGB Publisher Roger Gros at the Scientific Games headquarters in Las Vegas in early March.
