Everi Holdings was formed when Global Cash Access purchased Multimedia Games, joining together the industry’s largest payment processor with an innovative and upstart slot company. The two diverse companies failed to mesh in the early going and Ram Chary, the original CEO stepped down. Board member Mike Rumbolz, a 30-year gaming veteran, became interim president and CEO in February 2016 and later was persuaded to take the role permanently. He spoke with GGB Publisher Roger Gros at the Everi offices in May about how he has laser-focused the company on its significant roles in its two sectors.
