Nehme Abouzeid was the first chief marketing officer for the NHL’s Vegas Golden Knights. His previous posts included varied positions with Wynn Resorts and Las Vegas Sands, giving him a wide range of experience in and out of gaming. After leaving the hockey team, he formed LaunchVegas, a company designed to promote brands and events in Las Vegas and beyond. Abouzeid is also moderating a panel at the UNLV Gaming & Hospitality Education Series focusing on the demographics of people coming to Las Vegas today and who is expected to come in the future. Abouzeid’s panel will consist of Stephen Hill, the president and CEO of the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority, Bob Potts, a demographic expert in the Governor’s Economic Development task force, and Oliver Lovat, an expert on the demographics of millennials. He spoke with GGB Publisher Roger Gros in Las Vegas in January.
