GLOBAL GAMING BUSINESS PODCAST: Peter Arceo, General Manager, San Manuel Casino

This week, the GGB Podcast sits down with Pete Arceo, the general manager of San Manuel Hotel & Casino, to discuss the property’s expansion project, its impact and when it will open.

The San Manuel Casino is the most successful casino in Southern California. The chief reason for this success is that it’s the closest casino to the Los Angeles metropolitan area. But with increasing competition from tribes with renovations, new additions and more of everything, San Manuel has responded by building a new hotel, adding a showroom and meeting space, and expanding the casino floor. GM Peter Arceo explains how that will impact the tribe, employees and customers. This interview was conducted just prior to the announcement that San Manuel was buying the Palms casino in Las Vegas so Arceo declined to answer any questions about that transaction. He spoke with GGB Publisher Roger Gros from his office in Highland, California in April.
