In his first appearance at the Global Gaming Expo, Wynn Resorts Chairman and CEO Steve Wynn delivered a speech last week that wowed the attendees. Using his usual extemporaneous style—having misplaced his original speech—Wynn touched on his approach to gaming and explains that it’s not the gaming that’s important, it’s the experience. He draws on his long history as a casino developer to explain what it is that makes customers get on a plane to go to Las Vegas or Macau or whatever their destination is. Wynn’s legendary vision is on display at he describes his plans to build a “grand hotel” outside of Boston like none that has been seen in many years with the license he won last month. He discusses the reasons jurisdictions approve gaming and how to structure an industry to bring the most success. American Gaming Association President & CEO Geoff Freeman introduced Wynn and delivers questions from the audience at the end of the presentation.
