Global Gaming Women Announce ‘Lean In Circles’

The Global Gaming Women organization announced the topics of its “Lean In Circles” to discuss topics vital to the advance of women in the gaming industry.

Global Gaming Women, the independent nonprofit organization originally created by the American Gaming Association with a mission to aid the advance of women in the ranks of the gaming industry, announced the topics of its 2018 “Lean In Circles,” which are roundtable discussions designed to address issues critical to women in gaming.

“Due to popular demand, GGW is once again creating new Lean In Circles specific to the gaming industry, which creates an opportunity for women within the industry to connect, learn, build relationships and grow their careers,” the organization said in a statement. “Lean In Circles are small groups of women who meet regularly to learn and grow together…

“GGW Circles will be as diverse as the gaming industry itself, but participants share a common bond—the power of peer support.”

Circles slated for 2018 include:

Power, influence and the art of persuasion

Gender equality

Work-life balance and the economics of well-being

Personal branding

Effective workplace communication

Inclusive leadership

The organization is looking for goth applicants and moderators for GGW Lean In Circles. Those wishing to attend should indicate any interest in moderating on their applications. Woman already participating in a Circle are encouraged to apply to participate in additional Circles, and to participate as a moderator next year.

The deadline to apply is November 17. Those selected as moderators will be asked to complete a two-and-a-half day moderator training course in Las Vegas, funded by GGW. For more information, visit leanincircles.org.
