Global Payments Launches Mobile Cashless at Downstream

Global Payments Gaming Solutions announce the launch of its VIP Mobility mobile solution for cashless gaming at the Downstream Casino Resort in Quapaw, Oklahoma.

The VIP Mobility tool will enable cashless casino gaming and digital options as alternatives to traditional forms of gambling. Global Payments launched VIP Mobility in 2018 as the industry’s first mobile solution for cashless casino gaming. The tool will be integrated with Downstream Casino to offer customers an easier way to fund game play.

Unlike traditional forms of ticket in-ticket out (TITO), VIP Mobility creates a seamless cashless gaming experience from funding through cash-out. By harnessing Global Payments’ VIP Preferred plus functions like eCheck and Choice 4 deferred settlement, patrons can transfer funds from VIP Preferred balances to games with the touch of a screen.

Christian McDaniel, director of marketing at Downstream Casino Resort, said the partnership with Global Payments and its VIP Mobility product will help Downstream “be ahead of the curve” when it comes to tapping technology to deliver “new heights of convenience” to its guests.

“VIP Mobility allows our patrons to not worry about leaving their seat, wait in line for cash, or wonder about their check cashing limit,” McDaniel said. “VIP Mobility has been well received by the patrons.  Downstream  is looking forward to the future with VIP Mobility and the impacts that it will have on the operation.”

The partnership also gives Downstream Casino the chance to offer patrons a more cost-effective and secure payment solution. With VIP Mobility, the casino can leverage the tool’s flexibility to offer digital alternatives to traditional forms of wagering/ Regular casino patrons that drop over $500 each visit prefer to have alternatives to cash when it comes to payment options, according to the American Gaming Association (AGA) Payments Modernization report.

“The ability of technology to provide services in a digital and intuitive environment has transformed the way all industries view the customer experience, including the gaming sector,” said Christopher Justice, president of Global Payments Gaming Solutions. “Through the implementation of VIP Mobility, Downstream Casino Resort can establish a true customer-centric approach to gaming and provide patrons with an enhanced experience throughout the entire property.”
