Gaming and Leisure Properties, Inc. has announced two executive-level promotions—Brandon Moore has been appointed as chief operating officer and Desiree Burke has been named chief financial officer.

Gaming and Leisure Properties recently announced two executive leadership promotions. Current Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary Brandon Moore is the new chief operating officer, and current Senior Vice President, Chief Accounting Officer and Treasurer Desiree Burke is now chief financial officer.

The chief operating officer position is new at GLPI and Moore will retain his responsibilities as general counsel and secretary. Burke will retain her responsibilities as treasurer. Moore and Burke will continue to report to GLPI Chairman and CEO Peter Carlino.

“Brandon and Desiree have been instrumental to GLPI’s ongoing growth since we established North America’s first gaming-focused real estate investment trust,” said Carlino in a statement. “They were part of the team at Penn (National Gaming, now Penn Entertainment) that structured and completed the tax-free spin which created GLPI and they bring significant experience and records of accomplishments across the gaming and REIT industries to their new positions.

“Both have played critical roles in our growth and success over the past eight plus years, identifying and consummating transactions for GLPI with prospective and existing tenants while financing our growth with a prudent approach to allocation of our capital.

Moore joined Gaming & Leisure Properties in 2014 as senior vice president and general counsel. He previously served as Penn Entertainment’s vice president, senior corporate counsel. Moore also has worked at Ballard Spahr, a Philadelphia law firm, and is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association.

Burke started at GLPI as senior vice president and chief accounting officer in 2014. She previously served Penn Entertainment as vice president and chief accounting officer, and vice president and corporate controller. Burke also has worked for MBNA America Bank.
