Goa Seeks Legal Opinion On Macau Model Casino Rules

The Indian state of Goa is looking to Macau for a model of gaming regulations. Government officials are redrafting the rules that pertain to surveillance, data storage, visitor profiles and other details.

When it comes to reframing its casino gaming rules, the Indian state of Goa is looking at models used in Macau.

According to the Macau Daily Times and the Times of India, the new rules would prohibit Goans from playing in casinos, specify the quality of closed-circuit surveillance cameras, determine how long CCTV footage should be stored, and other matters. Goa is one of the three Indian states that allow live casinos to operate within its borders. It has 11 land-based gaming venues and five casino boats.
