Golden Entertainment Inc. is expanding its agreement with UK bookmaker William Hill to manage Golden’s race and sports operations in Nevada, Maryland and Montana.
The agreement expands an existing agreement that covers race and sports book operations at Pahrump Nugget Hotel & Gambling Hall along with deposit kiosks at about 80 Golden Entertainment-owned taverns and locations throughout Nevada.
It also extends the relationship to include race and sports books operations in Las Vegas at Stratosphere Casino, Hotel & Tower, Arizona Charlie’s Decatur and Arizona Charlie’s Boulder, as well as Aquarius Casino Resort in Laughlin, the company said in a press release.
The agreement provides for a minimum of 100 William Hill mobile deposit kiosks at Golden Entertainment’s company-owned taverns and third party distributed locations in Nevada, the release said.
“We are excited to expand our relationship with William Hill, which has a proven sports wagering platform not only in Nevada but around the world,” said Golden Entertainment COO Steve Arcana in the release. “We look forward to growing our business in Nevada and other jurisdictions through this partnership.”
The companies also said they will pursue sports wagering opportunities in Montana and Maryland if those states approve sports betting.
“Since entering the United States, William Hill has had an excellent relationship with Golden Entertainment,” said Joe Asher, CEO of William Hill US. “We look forward to continuing it for many years to come in Nevada and elsewhere as opportunities arise.”
William Hill is expected to begin operating Golden Entertainment’s additional Nevada race and sports books by December, subject to required regulatory approvals, the release said.
In another William Hill note, Delaware sports betting revenue in September was $3.154 million—more than four times the previous month as the NFL season got underway. William Hill is the only live sports book operator in the state while GVC’s Stadium Technology provides the sports betting platform integrated into Scientific Games’ lottery platform.
