Golden Nugget Atlantic City will turn an unused restaurant into two marina-view villas under a plan approved by the New Jersey Casino Reinvestment Authority.
The villas will be 2,400-square-feet and will be used for weekend guests at the casino hotel as well as for small group meetings and hospitality suites for larger conventions, according to the Press of Atlantic City.
The $4.5 million project is being funded by CRDA with an initial $1.2 million in Investment Alternative Tax obligations, the CRDA said.
The villas will contain a bedroom, living room, entertainment room, dining area and bar space, according to the Press.
“This is a wonderful project that furthers our mission to bring additional nongaming attractions to the city,” CRDA Executive Director John Palmieri said in a press statement. “Golden Nugget is creatively utilizing valuable space and converting it into a tremendous amenity for visitors.”
