After 14 years, Mike Goodrich recently resigned as general manager at the Potawatomi Hotel and Casino in Milwaukee. No reason was given for his departure.

The Forest County Potawatomi Executive Council has replaced Goodrich with Vice Chairman Hartford Shegnoee, who has been named general manager and chief executive officer. In a statement, the tribe said Shegnoee also was “integral” to the opening of Potawatomi Bingo in 1991. Shegnoee has served as tribal chairman and casino general manager.

As general manager, Goodrich oversaw two major property expansions. In 2008 the casino added 500,000 square feet of gaming space, and in 2014 the hotel was built.

The casino recently commemorated its 25th anniversary. It remains the top special attraction in the Milwaukee area.
