Tracy Sam has been promoted to general manager at Grand Casino Mille Lacs in Onamia, Minnesota, where she will be responsible for day-to-day operations at the property.
Sam worked at Grand Casino Mille Lacs for one year after it opened in 1991. In 1992, she worked for the Mille Lacs Band in human resources as well as with the chief executive in tribal government operations.
Sam returned to the casino as assistant general manager in December 2003, assisting in overseeing the entire gaming operation. Most recently, she served as corporate vice president of human resources for Mille Lacs Corporate Ventures.
“For years I’ve honed my skills while helping Grand Casino Mille Lacs become the premiere gaming and entertainment destination in Greater Minnesota. I am excited to put my experience and energy to work every day to continue to improve operations at the casino while also contributing to the overall mission of profitability and growth for Mille Lacs Corporate Ventures,” Sam said.
