Graydon Still Owes $55,000

The July 15 deadline has passed and former BC Lotteries Director Michael Graydon (l.) has not repaid the Crown Corporation $55,000, including his salary for the two months he worked for the lottery while negotiating a new job with Paragon Gaming—which has proposed a $500 million casino resort near Vancouver's BC Place.

Michael Graydon, former head of British Columbia’s BC Lotteries, missed the July 15 deadline for repaying more than ,000, including two months’ salary, to the Crown Corporation. Graydon was still employed by the government of British Columbia while he was negotiating the job he ultimately took at Paragon Gaming, the company that wants to build a 0 million casino resort near Vancouver’s BC Place.

In a statement, BC Lottery staff said, “Discussions are ongoing with Mr. Graydon’s representative. We have no further update at this point.”
