The Great Women of Gaming Awards originally were created by Casino Enterprise Management Magazine and Peter Mead in 2004. Global Gaming Women took them over in 2016 and broadened their scope to increase awareness, strengthen prestige and celebrate the success of women in the worldwide gaming industry. The awards also seek to engage more women in gaming-related fields and to further Global Gaming Women’s goal of diversity in leadership.
