Greece Reopens Casinos

Greece has reopened more businesses and activities that were shut down during Covid-19 restrictions. Late last month, the government permitted leisure and hospitality venues to resume business, including clubs, cinemas and other facilities.

Casinos were allowed to open their doors on June 29. Concerts, conferences and trade fairs also are now able go on. Nightclubs and indoor cinemas as well as theatre drink and snack bars will be operational from this week onwards and cable cars will also operate, according to Neos Kosmos.

The Greek government has noted that social distancing rules will need to be observed at these facilities which have been opened up to ensure economic growth but which need, on their part, to ensure that public health is protected to prevent another outbreak.
