On May 7, Silver Heritage Chairman David Green resigned suddenly and immediately “for both personal reasons and to enable him to focus upon other business interests,” the Australian-listed casino company announced.

Green will be replaced temporarily by Matthew Hunter, who joined the board as an independent director in December 2014, according to GGRAsia.

Silver Heritage thanked Green for his “considerable effort and input during his tenure as director.” CalvinAyre.com described Green’s departure as “something of a surprise” and “the second major executive departure Silver Heritage has endured in nine months.”

Last August, co-founder Tim Shepherd left the firm “in equally speedy and vague fashion,” just as the company prepared to open its Tiger Palace Resort Bhairahawa casino on Nepal’s border with India. Tiger Palace opened in March.

In April Silver Heritage announced losses of US$1.1 million for the first quarter but has also seen its Nepal revenues increasing, with record GGR of US$460,000 through the first 28 days of April compared with US$911,000 in January, February and March combined, reported GGRAsia.
