Greentube, the interactive arm of Austrian gaming giant Novomatic AG, announced it has been granted an online gaming service provider in Connecticut, where it will partner with operators to provide Greentube content to the state’s nascent online gaming market.

Connecticut opened its online gaming operations in October. This is Greentube’s third U.S. license, following New Jersey and Michigan.

Greentube titles including Diamond Cash, Mighty Emperor, Mighty Elephant, Mighty Sevens, Oasis Riches, and other titles developed specifically for U.S. players will soon be available in the market.

Recently released numbers show that Connecticut’s sports betting and iGaming market reached record levels in December 2022, with iGaming wagering hitting $1 billion for the first time.

This figure highlights the depth of the market available to Greentube as it continues to focus on the U.S,. with a further launch being prepared for Pennsylvania. The supplier recently enhanced its content creation capabilities in the region through a joint venture with emerging studio Flamingocatz and the acquisition of U.S. development studio Present Creative.

“North America continues to be a key region for us, and in gaining a third U.S. state license, we have achieved an important step in our growth journey,” said Michael Bauer, chief financial officer and chief games officer at Greentube.

“There is major potential within the U.S. market, and having acquired additional development capabilities to cater to local players, we believe we are well-placed to serve the market with premium content. We are looking forward to teaming up with operators in Connecticut and can’t wait to see how players in the state react to our portfolio.”
