Group Barrière Opens New Casino

French casino operator Group Barrière is preparing to open a new gaming hall called the Golden Elephant at the Sofitel Hotel in Abidjan on the Ivory Coast in West Africa.

French casino operator Group Barrière has signed a 10-year deal to operate a casino at the Sofitel Hotel in Abidjan on the Ivory Coast. The venue will have more than 80 slot machines and several table games and employ 85 people, reported G3Newswire.

Four matching poker tables will be connected to a common progressive jackpot that will start at €7,622 (US$8,300). Electronic English roulette terminals will also be on site with players able to use prepaid rechargeable cards. The venue will also include a restaurant, bar and 150-seat event center.
